::Company Performances::

::Hello y'all! As you can see, this post is about my performances. I've done two performances so far! One was November 7th somewhere in Algonquin College. It was for a Christian group thing called Gracefield. This one wasn't a Christmas  ballet and for some reason we don't think of it as a REAL company performance. I don't know why. I think it's because it wasn't a Christmas ballet and apparently they've never done a non-Christmas ballet in the first term of Company. The second performance was on Wednesday(25) at the West Ottawa Community Church. The WOCC is also my dance school. It was a fundraiser for Arise and for the Company. This one was a Christmas ballet. The ballet is call Heaven Everywhere It was so much fun. If any of you want to see it, it's up on YouTube. I'm in the 1st, 2nd,  4th and 6th dance. It went by so quickly but it was amazing! I can't wait to do it 9 more times. I'm being serious. I'm doing Heaven Everywhere 9 more times. I'm so excited!! ::I'm SO excited::

::Hello everybody. You're probably wondering why this post is called what it is. This is why. Today is the 15th, which means that tomorrow is the 16th. My birthday is on the 16th, which means that tomorrow is my birthday. That is why I'm excited. Wait, that's not the only reason I'm excited. I'm also excite because this week is Parent Observation Week at dance. POW is when parents or relatives come and watch all your classes. Now, that is ALL the reasons why I'm excited. I've kind of been ignoring my blog, so I will be writing on my blog at least once a week. Maybe more if I have something interesting I need to write about. I'll write soon about how my birthday went. ::Hi everybody. I'm SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SORRY I haven't written in a looooooooooooooooooooong time. I hope you can forgive me. Life has been busy. I'm excited for September. Not for school, but for dance. Classes start Monday September 8, 2014. My weeks will get very busy. Prepare for a long schedule. On Mondays I'll have Grade 5 Ballet from 6:15 to 7:30 and Intermediate Jazz from 7:30 to 8:30. I got asked to join the Arise Youth Ballet{the Company}, but I'm not allowed to join because I can't make it to a certain event called Summer Intensive Week. It's a full week of dance every day from morning to evening. It's mandatory that you do the Summer Intensive if you want to join company. I can't make it because I'm in P.E.I. that week. I'm sad I can't join.  So I would have had Company classes from 3:45 to 7:00. On Thursday an Intermediate Open class from 3:45 to 5:15, Pre-Pointe{preparing for pointe}from 5:15 to 6:15, and Elementry Contemporary from 6:15 to 7:15. So a very busy week. 6 classes. Now, Tip to Remember or You'll Regret It: Don't eat alot of Watermelon. I hope you have a good rest of the Summer. Bye::

::Apples, apples and more apples::

::Hello everybody.  Today we{Mom, me and Lij} went apple picking.  We went with Auntie Karin, Lyssa, Julia, Sarah, Auntie Katie, Matthew, Levi, Ewan and Declan.  We went at Kilmornock Orchards.  It was a lot of  fun.  We went on a cool little trail that goes by the river.  We picked apples as well as ate them.  Tip:  Don't go around  bends with a big bag of apples on your lap.  Remember that or you'll regret it::

:: Hi.  I don't really know what to right about.  We're sitting on the back porch right now.  It just stopped raining.  We're listening to the reason drop off the leaves.  It sounds very nice.  My practice is in a few hours.  We're just sitting around with not much to do.  Copper rolled in something and now he smells.  Mom says to not let him near us.  I've gotta go.  Bye::

Taxis — also called taxicabs or cabs — are vehicles with drivers you can hire to drive you to a destination for a fee. The name taxicab was a contraction of the translation of the French words for the same vehicles: “taximeter cabriolet.”
Taxis got started as horse-drawn carriages along the streets of London and Paris in the early 1600s. Today, many taxis are bright yellow sedans that people can easily find on busy streets. Not all taxis have four wheels, though! Some have three wheels, others have two and some have none at all!
One unique form of two- or three-wheel taxi is the rickshaw. There are several types of rickshaws. One of the most common is the cycle rickshaw, also called a bike taxi or pedicab.
Cycle rickshaws are tricycles designed to carry passengers behind a driver. Cycle rickshaws are used in many large cities around the world. They’re very common throughout Asia.
Another popular, older version of the rickshaw is the pulled rickshaw. These vehicles are two-wheeled carts — often made of bamboo — pulled by a human driver called a runner. These rickshaws usually carry one or two passengers.
The word “rickshaw” comes from the Japanese words meaning “human-powered vehicle.” Rickshaws got their start in Japan around 1868. They became popular because they were easier to use and faster in large cities than horse-drawn vehicles.
No one knows for sure who invented the rickshaw. Some people believe it was American blacksmith Albert Tolman or American missionary Jonathan Scobie. Others believe it was Tokyo restaurant owner Izumi Yosuke. Whoever invented the rickshaw, there were over 40,000 of them on the streets of Tokyo by 1872.
Humans aren’t the only engines for taxis, though. Hansom cabs are horse-drawn carriages that are still used today for quaint tours in New York City and other large cities around the world.
Some taxis don’t even operate on the ground, though. You can take a taxi on the water! For example, ferries and water buses provide public transportation across many different bodies of water. In some European cities, you can also take a gondola around the waterways of the city!
